Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar sworn Dated 31.07.2024 as the 12th Governor of Jharkhand. He was born on November 01, 1948 in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. He received his higher education from Agra University. They have achieved the degree of BSc and LLB.

He started his political life when he served as the District President of All India Youth Congress Morcha. He has also been in jail in 1975 during the emergency. The Lok Sabha members were elected for the first time in 1989 and are members of the Lok Sabha for a total of eight times. In the 13th Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Bajpayee has been ranked as the Minister of State for the State for Labour and Employment (Independent Charge) of the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the State for Labour and Employment in the Government with the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi in 2014-19. Further, the Finance Minister has discharged the duties in several other Ministries along with the Minister.

He has been the Chief Whip of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 14th Lok Sabha.. As well as the Chairman of the Committees of Important Committees such as the Public Accounts Committee, the Public Undertaking Committee. he had been travelled to countries like Israel, Japan, United States, UK, Argentina, China, South Africa and Switzerland.
